So am I stupid or what?
Why is it that some customers assume that we
are just plain stupid or slow just
because we work in a restaurant?
"I'd like a glass of water NO lemon"
"A glass of water, okay"
(water only comes with lemon if you request it!)
"I said NO LEMON!"
"Okay, We don't serve lemon unless requested"
Smiling, always smiling.
" Well I don't want lemon"
"Okay, that's a water, no lemon"
"I want rye toast with no butter"
" An order of rye, dry, anything else?"
"Well of course that's not all!!"
"So, (smile really big now) then what else would you like?"
"I want breakfast of course!"
"Yes, and have you decided on something besides toast and water?"
Big mistake on my part.
"Rye toast no butter, and water with NO LEMON!"
Big smirk, turns to companion,
says, "they just can't get anything right".
Walk away smiling and rolling my eyes,
It is just an annoying part of the fun, thrilling
world of waiting.
