Today a group of regulars,
( mine on FRI & SAT) had an explosion at work.
I've heard big j doesn't get along with c but they
like to have breakfast with this group of mutual friends.
Sooooo L&D and c come in first. Then in comes cl.
About 5 minutes later in strolls big j and his sweet wife.
They haven't been in all week.
Big j looks at c and you can feel the tension start to build.
Two more couples join the table.
Big j is sitting at the head of the table, it's where he wants to sit.
No one else cares. Big j is loud (always) and likes to be noticed and heard.
He has opinions on EVERYTHING and isn't shy about voicing them.
(Yes he can be a big jerk but usually is okay.)
Back to the DRAMA.
I hear McCain, I hear Arnold for governor,
then I hear big j yelling UNKIND non political things across the table to c.
Everyone is looking embarrassed and big j's sweet wife starts to cry. (Yikes)
"You apologize", she says to her hubby.
Louder he refuses and says more UNKIND things to c.
I run for the manager.
This guy has lost it.
Many other customers are staring and looking uncomfortable.
I'm like, "you're going to have to ask him to leave, he's too upset".
But big j jumps up tells sweet wife someone will give her a ride home and he storms out!
Then he stops at the register and gives cash to the hostess
to take to his wife to cover breakfast and leaves.
C says I guess I can't have breakfast with you guys anymore.
Everyone kind of hems and haws.
The other wives go sit by sweet wife.
It's just not cool to go berserk in a restaurant.
Next time save it for the parking lot!
This all happened before 7:30 a.m.

another exciting day is beginning.
